Grandma Singleton's Sticky Toffee Cheese and Banana Brioche Toastie

Serves 2



80g Grandma Singletons Sticky Toffee Cheese
40g Castor sugar
5g Butter, unsalted
30ml Milk, whole
4 Slices of Brioche
2 Ripe bananas, sliced
1 Egg



  1. Weigh all ingredients as listed above.
  2. Pre-heat the oven to 180 degrees C.
  3. Whisk together the egg, milk and half the sugar.
  4. Quickly dip the sliced brioche into the egg mixture.
  5. Lightly fry both sides of the dipped bread in the butter until brown. 
  6. Place on kitchen paper to drain off excess grease.
  7. In a clean pan, lightly caramalise the sliced bananas in the butter and sugar.
  8. On a baking tray, layer the banana and crumbled cheese onto the sliced broiche.
  9. Add the other slice to make a sandwich and bake for 5 minutes to melt the cheese.
