Grandma Singleton’s Jalapeno and Garlic Ultimate Burger

Serves 2

Ingredients   
2 Grandma Singleton’s Jalapeno & Garlic Slices
250g Top quality minced beef
50g Onion, finely chopped
15g Parsley, finely chopped
5g Wholegrain mustard
20ml Milk, whole
2 Seeded buns
2 White bread, slices
2 Large pickled gherkins
1 Beef tomato
1 Garlic clove, crushed
1 Baby gem lettuce
Salt & pepper

 

Method 

  1. Weigh all ingredients as listed above.
  2. Finely chop the onion and parsley, then crush the garlic clove.
  3. Soak the bread slices in the milk for 2–3 minutes.
  4. Add the minced beef, chopped onion, garlic, mustard, parsley, salt and pepper together and thoroughly mix.
  5. Add the soaked bread to the other ingredients and continue to mix (Tip; the soaked bread will ensure the burgers are moist & juicy).
  6. Make the beef mixture into 2 patties and refrigerate until required for cooking.
  7. To cook the burgers, seal both sides of the patty in a medium – hot, non-stick frying pan until golden brown.
  8. Finish in a preheated oven, 200 degrees C, until the meat is firm & clear juices are running from the centre of the burger - If you’re lucky enough with the weather, why not BBQ the burgers instead!
  9. Garnish the burger with the salad & Grandma Singleton’s Jalapeno & Garlic Slices
  10. Spice up the burger even more with some sweet chilli sauce or cool it down with some classic mayonnaise!
