SAMLESBURY FOOD & DRINK FESTIVAL

Admission is completley free and there will be lots of local food suppliers, wines from around the world, and demonstrations running throughout the weekend plus the very best family entertainment including an ice rink, pony rides, Punch and Judy and a free ice cream for all children in fancy dress.

The festival will officially opened by UKTV Food Hero, renowned chef and Lancashire Life's food editor Philippa James.

There are live demo's planned throughout the weekend from how to make perfect Christmas decorations to cookery demonstrations with Huntleys chef Simon Bower demonstrating some Christmas canapes and Barrica Wines Jane Cuthbertson recommending some wines to accompany them.  There will also be a Christmas floral demonstration giving you lots of ideas to bring the outside in at Christmas.

The festival is going to be a family fun experience with an ice skating rink, face painting, birds of prey, live music, and pony rides.  There will be an apportunity to post letters to Santa, so dont  forget to bring them along and there will be a free ice cream for all children who come along in fancy dress.

The festival is free entry and a 'park & ride' system will be operating from the nearby Swallow Hotel.  Its a perfect opportunity to begin Christmas shopping and sample some unique products.

Although not exclusive, some of the attractions during the weekend include:-

English country wines, English spirits, Rubis chocolate wines, Local brewery Naylors from Skipton, a new range of continental beers, an Oyster and Prosecco Bar, local cheese suppliers, lots of local food suppliers, a floristry Christmas demonstration, a canape and wine demonstration, free ice cream for all children in fancy dress, a biscuit making competition, an opportunity to post letters to Santa, traditional Punch and Judy, pony rides and pony petting, an ice rink and seasonal mulled wine.
